Tips and Common Issues

Tip:

Position a staff member near the kiosk during initial implementation to assist patients who may be unfamiliar with the system.

Note:

The kiosk automatically times out after 2 minutes of inactivity and returns to the start screen to ensure privacy and system availability.

Warning:

Do not turn off the kiosk computer during operating hours. If you need to restart the kiosk, use the proper shutdown procedure through the administrator menu.

Troubleshooting

  • Touch screen not responding - Check that the screen is clean and free from debris. If issues persist, restart the kiosk application.

  • Printer not printing queue numbers - Verify paper supply, check printer connection, and ensure the printer is powered on.

  • Member ID not recognized - Confirm the member ID is entered correctly. If problems continue, verify the member's status in the main MYCURE system.

  • Kiosk freezes during use - Use the admin key combination (Ctrl+Alt+K) to access the reset option without restarting the entire system.
